sold it to a good friend of mine for $900. Feels good to not have it.

I feel like i can make sequences much tighter and faster using keyboard/mouse/drumpad. its fun to have xox style sequencing but its not for me on this one. cheers!

i stopped using mine as a production tool
and use it only as a performance instrument for liveacts
the strenght of the MD is really the live tweaking, using it for production i've got more problems than benefit.
(sometimes use it for tracks recorded in real time)
i'm keeping mine, but can understand you want to get rid of it

ps: the hihats and some snares are really not my cup of tea

I'm surprised that Elektron never released a MIDI-only version of the machinedrum. It seems like most people get tired of the sound of it, but it's interface is bloody lovely.

I'm selling mine too as well as my SH-101, not because I want to, because I have moved into a new flat and I just haven't the room for any hardware.

I'm seriously considering selling mine too, like others here I'm just not that in love with the sound even after owning it for a few years.

Gonna have to get it fixed though, half of the screen has black lines across it...

replacing the screen will cost you a lot.
I had a screen die on me on my monomachine, after warranty had expired:
50 swiss francs to ship it to sweden
70 EUR for the screen +50 EUR for the work.

Think about how much could you sell it.. it might not be worth it.

I hope for you not, just warning you.

I was thinking the cost would probably be in that region, but if I could sell it for £500-600 I'd still have most of that money in my pocket. Bit of a loss when it cost me £1000 new but there's not too much point in dwelling on these things, arguably I'd rather have the money than a box I don't use enough...

Had it on eBay... When I took it down people were emailing me offering $1100 US. But ended up selling to close friend for $900. I'm happy to have gotten rid of it... especially considering that Im now debt free with some cash in the bank. This is one of the pieces that put me into the red zone to begin with, so it was significant for me that I got rid of it at any cost. Maybe I'll get one again in the future. fck gearlust and fck credit cards.
