vinyl hiss!!! [important]

Post by plaster »

i got this experimental project in mind which would involve you people who have turntables.
so,i'm thinking to record a lot of vinyl hiss which is located at the very same beginning of the record and then alter it with fx and stuff like that.

would anyone be willing to help me out, because i don't have turntables?

:D

Seems to me that it'd also be pretty easy to just manually generate this noise from within a wave editor...

Just generate some static, reduce the amplitude a lot, and space it out and add a few random "pops" here and there.

well, each vinyl has a different pattern for hiss,so it's not the same if you fake it.
