I agree with Eidolon. Tri Repetate++ was fucking amazing album. The rest of their stuff is always better than most experimental, but some of it just doesn't do it for me. Their last albums starting with Confield they really took "music" in a completely different direction. I respect it for that and own every album, but I really can't bring myself to listening all the way through like I could with their earlier, more basic works.

I think everyone needs to hear Autechre at least once in their life...they don't need to like it, they just need to hear 'em.

LP 5 -possibly their best LP (imo) // Acroyear2 and Corc ,Chiastic Slide definitely are my favs:)

i completely agree. before i had the chance to see them live in detroit(2001?)
i had not listened to their work much. after their performance, i was hooked.

they are definitely pioneers.

the 'chiastic slide' album gets a play regular, has done for years, i can never get sick of there sh!t !
been lucky enough to catch them play aswell.
they are true artists and deserve the props !

one of the greatest influence for me to make music is autechre

got everything (i hope :) ) and the amber lp is their best work i think
