I have no problem with putting Steve Reich in the artists section of this forum, but to insert the caveat "History Lesson" before his name is quite patronising and portentous.

I'm gonna have to check some of this stuff out. I've only listened to different trains / *can'tremember*. The first part is train station sounds phased out and in to give this eerie word war 2 travelling across Europe feel to it, something menacing. In fact, it's one of the more historical sounding pieces of audio I've ever heard, if that makes any sense to anyone beyond me.

The other part of the album was phased recordings of pat methany playing guitar. They are absolutely fantastic, I recommend checking them out.

P.S. I looked it up:

Different Trains / Electric Counterpoint
Teleportation Now!

man..you looked way way too deep into that..its not saying you don't know anything or anybody does..it is History..some people are not aware of it therfore it could be considered a "lesson"..its just a title.
most people do know..if anything its saying " these are the minds we should respect in our genre"..its only a title.
Sorry that perhaps you had been offended by that it was not the intention.
It was just fun.

remember fun? now thats patronising..:P
