Was listening to Portside Waves on perlon by Stephen Laubner last night

what else has this guy done?

he also goes by the moniker "STL" http://www.something-records.com/info.html

he also did a great deep track on perlon's superlongevity 3 as STL called "strains of nowhere" one of my favorites on there.

First time I heard "portside waves" was at a warehouse party a few years ago, it totally blew me away. He used to have an internet site where you could download mp3s of his. There was a lot of field recording type stuff there. I'll have to hunt it down.

Yeah he hasn't put out that much that I can find but everything I have found is some of the best stuff i've ever heard. My copy of portside waves is so overused its silly (sleeves all busted and torn and the record barely plays anymore) but I love it and the Villalobos flips is really nice too. Would love to see what a full length or hell even a 4 track record of this guy would do.

the next perlon is STL i'm really liking the clips i've listened to. Portside waves is one of the best ever.
