in what ways he is hit and miss ? I have many livesets of him and i've never found out a mistake in mixing.

WFT in a positive way yes

I really like his choice of records. He dares to experiment and thats worth a compliment. I really hate dj's who do a set that sounds like one track. A set should sound like an adventure to me... different styles, different moods. And villalobos does that IMO. His mixing is sometimes not that tight but ist always a surprise.......

if i had to find something to moan about him is that some of his sets are too relax for a party in a club but apart that he's great !

I think he/they meant hit or miss in regards to his original productions not necessarily his mixing skills. His original material can be kind of boring sometimes.
