A Rocket in Dub

Here's a description on my favourite band on italic.de:

The individual artist is totally backgrounded. But to summarise the idea of "A Rocket in Dub":
the tempo is definitive the 'dubby' tempo. But it stays minimal.

Here, the attempt to use dub elements means the layering of individual elements. Even
though the production concept for "A Rocket in Dub" is carefully calculated ninety percent of
the ideas for a track are determined in advance that still leaves room for surprises. Like the
statement about generally not working with samples.

"A Rocket in Dub" therefore develops its own version of dub technique. As already
mentioned, the individual artist is totally backgrounded - only the music should speak. In this
case the consensus with Italic isn't to be found in pop appeal, but in the mixture of a
pared-down musical language with a little bit of melancholy.

The man behind A Rocket in Dub is Stefan Schwander aka Antonelli Elect.
His music reminds me very much on the stripped sound of Richie Hawtin, but then with a
Dub flavour and some nice deep resonances... what do you want more?

Check it out!

Cheers,
