Vinyl Trolley

Post by Harry »

My Magma 100 LP record trolley died an early death this weekend. After having a variety of problems with the pockets, stitching, zips and handle, on friday afternoon it finally gave up as one of the wheels came off mid-journey.

I had only had this case for just over a year and for all of these this to go wrong in this short amount of time is terrible, and has lead me to the decision never to buy from magma again.

The problem is now i have no record bag and quite a few gigs in the next few weeks. I was wandering if anyone has any experience with the Zomo Dj trolley? I hadn't seen them before but after doing some research this one looks perfect. I just want to know how durable it is before i go rushing into a purchase.

No matter what you decide to get DON'T go for a UDG bag since they recently came up with the brilliant idea to make record bags that can't contain 12" Records.

glad you posted this.. I'm in need very soon.. I stumbled on a really good find : Im pretty sure it's not anything that has been mentioned.. I'll have to dig in my folders to find the link I saved..
I have tons of saves sites, hope I find it..

cant find it. I think I had it on my phone and cleared the memory..
it was steal/metal looking, and it could be used for a carry on..
seemed completely perfect...
I'll keep looking..

i've had my magma bags for about two years now and the only issue i had was a rip on the lid that i took to a cobbler and got repaired. outside of that, they've worked great for me and are still holding up to travels.

that being said, two years for a bag is a pretty long time, so i have a feeling i'll be upgrading / updating my equipment here soon. don't think i'll go with udg, and might just go back with another magma setup...but i might just bite the bullet and get the rimowa case.
