The samples take up space. Space costs money. Keeping samples of records you will never sell again is a waste of money.
So you're advocating for websites to delete all of their older samples in order save a bit of cash? ... Breton, be honest, you don't look for older music much, do you?

I'm not advocating anything. I just think that making a fuss over record stores deleting 10+ year old samples from their databases is... you know... silly...

As for older records, i already have more than i need (even though it's never enough).
Also, there are currently 4500+ records in my Discogs wantlist, they will keep me busy for many years to come...

I have 6100. Not bragging or anything, just saying.

Ok, i am bragging.

P.S. Oh, and all of those are old records, mind you. Damn it, i'm bragging again.
