when you buy tunes do you care how fast it is? if you do what would you consider to be too slow or too fast?

it depends on the sound of the tracks when they are pitched very strong.

also a track at 135 is maximum to be pitched at 128. how often do you play at 128 ?

i had this issue today with a track.

especially the second could have been nice to use in a set i think but when do you play >130bpm??

on the other hand, i like so much of the stl stuff, but i don't buy so often because the stuff is very very slow.. i wanna spin the stuff i buy and for homelistening purpose i buy much less.. :/

hm i would say depending on the atmosphere and time, i can play without a problem on 128.

the thing is most techno tracks at 135 dont sound good pitched down that much, and really slow tracks sound horrible pitched up that much.

of course there are exceptions for example this track



this track sounds really boring to me at the original speed, but pitched up it sounds really good.

the question though is, would i buy it?

i cant tell from samples if a track sounds good pitched up or down. so i wont buy it. maybe after i listend to the track in a club, i buy it later, but from samples a track thats below or at 120 ... must be an exceptional track.

Sometimes I play a warm up set before a big name or I play peak time / morning after in smaller clubs
