Moving away from the breaks scene, first minimal/techno trak

Post by dflux »

Been pretty unhappy with breaks since since 04-06 to now. Electro has ate it up in influence. And where are the break beats? Been pretty lost in that realm for a while. I listen to dubstep, but im not much of a fan. I view minimal as the underdog of whats left of how house was. So, I spent 3 hours last night poking around at a minimal/techno track. Exploring whether I should jump ship entirely... both are works in progress.

This is what I what I usually do in breaks.

Easy on the critic here, lots of problems in those. Bit sloppy i know. My head aint used to thinking like this. I am divorcing atm & mixing on pc speakers. Monitors sets are put up and my boards are all over the floor around me. Sucks ass not having a studio anymore. Just poking around. Thanks for listening.

you need a more pronounced bassline or bass rhythm to make that track IMO. Other than that it sounds cool.
