hmmm... seems like it never really gets going. there are a couple nice elements that kick in, but there's no lead -- nothing engrossing. good minimal will generally focus around either one sound that your ears want over and over again -- even if it's only one second long. This track drops a sound here and there, but doesn't really do anything with any of them.
tenamor
this is really nice. this is what i'm talking about. this starts with a nice sound that loops and is very engrossing (and the panning is nice). the short sounds out of that frequency range that jump in keep it interesting (although i think the volume on those elements is a bit to loud). the little high tones are almost perfect (a little more stereo in the composition would be nice). The bubbly/zappy sound that kicks in around 3:00 is very cool. Again -- just a little more stereo in the composition. No hard panning or anything, but just enough to fck a head a little harder.
like your "modeforreal" track, the eqing on the symbols is very high and centered. i'd say separate everything above 11,000hz a bit more, and drop anything above maybe 16,000 by 1.5db - 2db. what do you do for recording and mastering? i think that finishing touch is what is going to make the difference between your tracks being ok and very good.
