I see... Im only familiar with his music not the guy. Wasnt familiar with his bad press although having done a quick seach, I probably share alot of the opinions he got all the flak for.
I think using your position to raise awareness of global issues, eg. whats happening in the congo, is a noble stance and the impression I got from this interview were that his motives seem genuine.

i think he's always come across as a deep and inspiring person.

i didn't like his hip hop and sexed up house stuff but his earlier work, to me, was incredible.

jay vs. ricardo 'kick the verb' . love that one.

Kudos to Jay for having opinions and expressing them, instead of kowtowing and kissing ass. I am much more interested in a little fire than tepid monotony.
