Auralex provide a free personal room analysis service. You send them your room dimensions with your monitoring position and they create a plan with suggested products and where to position them in your space. The plan was what I expected and the advice is what you get in most room acoustic articles ...

I spend my time enjoying a sample, and as soon as I get the record, I listen to it once and I don't touch to it anymore. This is one thing I find when being choosy with what records I spend my money on. I'll have a massive cart and by the time I end up choosing which tracks I really want and buy th...

I've got a uc33 and think its great but if I had to make a choice now Id go with the apc40. If moneys tight tho the UC33 is the best budget controller imo.

Im the same as ominpresence Ive had mine for over 3 years and its still working fine.

Sorry just had a look at them. They're the Genelec 6010a's and they're not £160, they're £160 each and the sub costs £300+ so not really a cheap option.

What about those really small genlec monitors, they're only about 200 x100 x 100 mm in size. You can get the speakers for about £160 and theres a small subwoofer available which is also very compact.

[sOMbOM - sb011] Gerard - sensora (26.11.09)

Just thought id do a bit of self advertisement for once. This is my first full release on my friends sOMbOM label. The original is a skippy house track building and changing over 12 mins and the remix takes the main sample and creates a solid 7 minute house groove. Its currently out on all the usual...
