Re: fatten up bassline plugin
Create a slightly saturated sub-bass sinewave that is mono and completely dry, then create a higher layer synth with whatever texture you like that accents the bass. Run the higher line through a stereo widener and slight reverb. Make sure the sine is played exactly in the note that creates the bigg...

Re: Life&Death Pad
Download Tweakbench's Tapeworm VST. (http://www.tweakbench.com/tapeworm) Pick 'Strings 2' sound and remove the tape hiss the plugin generates. Play a chord you like. It doesn't need to sound exactly like the chord in the song. Run it through a huge reverb. AudioDamage's EOS is one option. (http://ww...

Re: Hardware bass synths
Moog Slim Phatty. The synth won't automatically yield results like that, though. You need to have a good effect chain.

Re: how do you create that deep vocal effect?
Audio Damage Discord 3 is well capable. Not just on vox either, cool plug! That looks cool, do you think the producer of this track used a plugin like this in a DAW to manipulate the vocals? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7v7YR264XuU I couldn't see someone using Melodyne to do this when putting a t...

Re: how do you create that deep vocal effect?
To get the Time For Us style vocals: Don't use a plugin to pitch the vocals. Take the vocal track, duplicate it in as many parts as you feel comfy with and mess around with the pitch without changing the tempo of the selected track. Aside from this what matters is if you have good microphone/space t...

Re: How does Truncate create his sound?
Sound in Concentrate: Microsample some noise. You can use Analog Noise to create the noise. (http://tonebytes.com/analog-noise/) Mold the sample until it has a short enough release to create a rhythm and not just a continuous wall of sound, but not much shorter. Loop the sample in 16th notes and in...

Re: marcel dettmann bass
Here's something I made with Chromaphone in a flash: http://soundcloud.com/18909676a/tube-percussion Isn't really supposed to sound anything like Corebox, but the general idea of the tube perc is there. To be honest, I think loads of Berghainy sounds come from physical modelling synthesizers that ar...

Re: marcel dettmann bass
Do you mean the percussive sound? Try Chromaphone (http://www.applied-acoustics.com/chromaphone/trial/) and mess about with the tube model in it. Or record yourself hitting the other end of a PVC tube with a drumstick. Then add a nice dotted delay, a reverb, a band pass filter and some saturation.
