what tipped me over to mac was specifically the (superior) ddr3 ram. so there are hardware differences... (could not find a sony or other leading brand laptop which offered the same - +- 6 months ago - have not checked since then) look into REAL info - not this bs mac vs pc thing. also osx is differ...
