most electronica subgenres are linked to drugs in one way or another. trance is usually linked to ecstasy, acid house/tech to lsd, psy trance to mushrooms, I think minimal is linked to ketamine a lot, although I've never done it.

i really like the percussive elements. the bass line didn't distort on my system either. I also have a subwoofer. it also didn't hit as hard as most of the commercial tracks do. the sounds were really interesting. I liked it.

what version of live, are you using 5.2? I think 5.2.1 has been released recently.

USB 2.0 is actually superior to firewire from an article I read. I was going to say it might be an asio or soundcard issue, but if one device works fine, then it most likely wouldn't be a driver issue.
