one way i would approach it is send 'note on' midi messages from a track on the master machine to a track(s) on the slave that you need to accept the swing. this way when you change the swing on the master, the notes' timing on the master track will change, triggering the same timing on the slave tr...

swing is not transmitted via midi clock. only tempo, start, stop and messages that indicate the song position. :?

yes harass, thats exactly it. i know pro tools is the best for the job (and similar) but since i dont have the cash for it, im considering to buy some other software (PC) capable of all that tedious editing job. ill be honest and say my Sound Forge copy is cracked but im gonna buy it once im sure it...

eem let me see... the one im talkin bout is under Edit / Paste Special / Crossfade. used the same way as in loop-crossfading, only the crossfaded data may not be looped.

Im using Sound Forge 8.0 as my main audio editor for some time now. I have a hard time figuring out what the parameters in the 'crossfade' dialog box represent and how they work. so according to you codecks, makeup gain is used to raise the gain 'after' the compression takes place? why would it need to? at that time the peaks will be back to their highest level anyway. no. makeup gain works during the time compression works, its part of it. so what happens is - loud peaks ge...
