Does anyone know how portishead ( as well as a thousand other groups) create that rolling/pitched up baseline that they use in the song "It could be sweet," off of their "Dummy" album. If you know that album, , then you kow the sound I'm talking about. It sounds like a bass drum ...

Yeah, that is good avice, mlexicon--produce the song in :30 second bits of masterpiece. I was thinking that If I sort of rider the faders through out the song, giving each part a different dynamic "tension," then perhaps it would be less repetitive; but I probably just need to add more var...
