Re: using samples from disco tracks

you just need to ask yourself a couple of questions... 1. Is the artist/band huge? 2. Is the label huge? 3. Does the label and/or artist still exists? 4. are you huge? 5. is your label huge? if not, go ahead! Next to that, a lawsuit will cost a lot more then what you'll get with royalties. just let ...

Re: Really good video about creativty, workflow, motivation

i can recognize some points, but..... i saw also a lecture with moritz von oswald (basic channel, rhythm and sound, maurizio) he did almost the complete opposite. he just the track build itself in a way. Just let the thing loop and add some stuff when you come up with something. if it's not good, de...

Re: multi midi

The grain thingie sounds interesting. Though it sounds also like a big fuzz to setup properly and for the results you'll get back, i don't know if it's useable (in my case). Re: multi midi

sounds fair! Got the same thing with being mobile as possible, though i would think it would be a nice input in the live scene to get some analog gear back but in a hybrid way. Nothing wrong with the software use of things, but i think it could look awesome in some eyes of the listeners/dancers. Nex...

Re: multi midi

Sounds wicked mate! Got the same idea for a liveset, though bit more DJ minded. I had loads of trouble with sequencing my monome 64. I really wanted 16 steps, but that wasn't really possible because of (you can already guess this one) midi cc's. Instead of that i hooked up my Elektron MD as sequence...

Re: multi midi

Ahhh.... i understand the issue now :-). Though i think you might be more careful with what to assign. Cause 16 midi channels with like almost 40cc's available... That's quite a lot! Curious how you assign your midi and how you're planning to play live. You probably want to control all elements indi...
