Re: Mastering and vinyl cutting.
Cheers for this tip Steevio. I got in touch with them and they seem reasonably priced with good quality. I think I will give them a try in future.

Re: Getting more groove from my Tr-707 using Ableton.
I know there a a few ways I could get more groove out of the machine. I could even just sack it off altogether and use samples, as the 707 is just a bunch of samples anyway. However, I am quite intent on figuring out away of affecting the incoming audio with so that it can be modulated to be a bit r...

Re: Mastering and vinyl cutting.
for my last two releases i used Optimum in Bristol; http://www.optimum-mastering.com/ maybe i'm not the best artist to use as an example of their quality, because those two records were recorded straight in my studio with no compression, no EQ on anything, and no mastering at all in the cutting roo...

Hello chappies, Those of you in the vinyl business, whom do you use for your mastering and cutting, and do you prefer to keep both under 1 roof? I'm happy with the mastering and cutting house I use although they're quite expensive and I need to cut down costs. 60€ a track and 150€ for the lacquer i...

Getting more groove from my Tr-707 using Ableton.
Hey chaps, The 707 is quite a static machine with not much groove so I am thinking of ways of getting it grooving a little more by somehow effecting the input signal within an Ableton channel. Say I have the hi hats going into a channel. By using Ableton effects or possibly Max, can you think of any...
