Well, whatever you do don't get your RAM from Apple.... 8 times cheaper elsewhere... They also just updated all the Powerbooks, in which is included 5400 RPM drives. I don't know if that would be economical, but I am working with an older powerbook with an after market IBM drive running at 5400 and ...

I was using Spark XL, so maybe that has something to do with it. You should try Peak, I've never had any problems with MP3s, you just 'save as' and it will convert the file to whatever you please. (and thats ver. 4, but I think 3 will do it too) Also, the LE version is cheap, though a little frustra...

yeah, I think we are all mostly both, but there's no reason why producing alone cannot be approached artfully. Take King Tubby, for instance. He never played anything on any of those records, he just tweaked what was already there, but the repercussions of what he was doing still affect whats going ...

Spark is the best, but TC Electronics stopped doing software stuff, so it is done. They also never quite got around to updating it to 10.3, so you'll be stuck in 10.2 if you want to use it (you can't save anything under Panther). I may still have it lying around as well, I'll have to check. As a fai...

You're crazy! You can't do that! Just knock it off! 8) Would it possible to set up a Java server through the Terminal in OSX and assign Soundflower to stream? Or somehow split the signal so that you cold still hear it on your machine and have it sent out? You might be able to write something in Max/...

I am using a M-Audio Firewire 410 with a Mac and ableton 4 and have been pretty happy with it. The only thing that is a pain is that the out in Live only seems to be mono, so you only get one channel (i have actually been meaning to look into that, but it hasn't bothered me enough yet). All you need...
