Recently beatport have been taxing me £0.19 extra per track for tax and £0.39 every wav. If you look at the top right hand corner, there is a * next to the price of your crate. Then when you go to buy it shows you the tax being added on. Is this just in the UK?

also for Denmark...
Apparently they have been forced to do this, still waiting for more information from them regarding why, what, whom, where and so on....

Americans get the same. I get charged a few cents every time I make a purchase. Something like "foreign exchange fee" which doesn't make sense to me unless they are dealing in euros now.

the most annoying thing with beatport (for me) is that when im browsing from my flat, all prices are in €. when i browse from my parents place (another isp), all prices are in $. maybe its time to just fill the crate and wait with buying until i visit my parents lol :p

Was just about to post a new topic on this. Just found out.
Not very nice but I suppose we cant do anything about it. I wonder why it took them so long to implement this...

Same for canada i think... I'm just about to buy so i'll tell you. Also, i see a weird bug lately where prices appear in pounds or euros, then dollars. Totally messed up. Weird.

If you want all the tracks off a release yes, but how often is that happening?
(not that I want to defend the higher and higher prices and Beatport)

CHARGES
Sub Total
WAV Handling
Total Tax (State, City, Value-Added)
Credit
TOTAL

it doesn't precise what kind of tax is that, it says it would be VAT, but how can american company charge VAT of the same value worldwide ?
Ridiculous, it may have sense in the US - i don;t know the american regulations, but for sure not in the global trade ....
